Logging In

AEGIS signs you in with your email and password. When you log in, the platform exchanges your credentials for a secure session token that keeps you signed in for 24 hours.

How to Sign In

  1. Open your browser and navigate to the AEGIS login page. If you are not already signed in, you will be redirected here automatically.
  2. You will see the AEGIS sign-in screen with Email and Password fields.
  3. Enter your email and password. Your password will be masked as you type for security.
  4. Click Sign In.
  5. If your credentials are valid, you will be taken to the Conversations page (or whichever page you were trying to access).

Getting Your Account

Accounts are created by your AEGIS administrator — there is no self-serve signup. Your administrator creates your account and sends you a one-time invite link; opening it lets you choose your own password and logs you in. Your roles (Administrator, Power User, Reviewer, and/or Operator — see Users & Roles) determine your access level. If you forget your password, ask your administrator for a reset link — passwords cannot be looked up. Keep your password secure and do not share it.

For local development and demo environments, use the built-in bootstrap admin: admin@aegis.local / aegis-dev-admin. Do not use these credentials in production.

Session Duration

Once you sign in, your session lasts for 24 hours. After that, you will be prompted to sign in again. If you encounter an “Unauthorized” error while using the platform, your session has likely expired — simply sign in again to continue.

Your Role

After signing in, a badge in the top bar shows your highest role:

  • Admin — Full access, including Configuration and user management
  • Power User — Access to Configuration (skills, routers, prompts, entity types) but not the admin-only settings
  • Reviewer — Can review and decide filings and approvals
  • Operator — Standard access to compliance, filing, and agent features

Your roles determine which pages and actions you can reach — for example, the Configuration section is hidden unless you are a Power User or Admin, and approving a filing needs approver permission. See Users & Roles for the full picture. Your user ID is also shown in the top bar for reference.

Signing Out

To sign out:

  1. Look for the Sign out button in the top-right corner of the top bar.
  2. Click Sign out.
  3. You will be returned to the login page. Your session token is cleared immediately.
