What is AEGIS?

AEGIS (Agent Execution, Graph Intelligence & State) is a compliance intelligence platform. It uses AI agents to help you prepare regulatory filings, monitor compliance deadlines, and track obligations across your portfolio. The platform is domain-neutral: each compliance area is an installable pack, and this deployment ships the Texas Railroad Commission (RRC) oil & gas vertical as its first installed pack set.

This page describes the platform through the lens of the RRC oil & gas vertical — the first pack set installed on AEGIS (Rule 37 spacing, Rule 32 flaring, Form PR, Flaring Monitor, EPA OOOOb). The dashboards, workspaces, and agent workflows below are domain-neutral; another vertical would surface its own domains through the same surfaces.

The Problem AEGIS Solves

Managing regulatory compliance means juggling dozens of deadlines, forms, and rules. For oil & gas operators in Texas, that means the Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC) — a single missed deadline or filing error can result in fines, operational shutdowns, or lost permits. Traditional compliance management relies heavily on spreadsheets, manual tracking, and institutional knowledge.

AEGIS changes that by combining AI assistance with structured workflows, giving your compliance team a real-time view of your entire portfolio and AI-powered help for your most complex filings.

Four AI Agents

AEGIS provides four specialized AI agents, each focused on a different area of compliance:

AgentWhat It Does
Rule 37 (Spacing)Helps prepare spacing exception filings for the RRC. Calculates well distances, identifies offset wells, drafts good-cause narratives, and assembles Form W-1 packages.
Rule 32 (Flaring)Assists with flaring and venting exception applications. Calculates volumes, analyzes gas composition, estimates emissions, and assembles Form R-32 packages.
Compliance MonitorContinuously scans your portfolio for upcoming deadlines, rule changes, and compliance risks. Generates alerts and risk scores.
Flaring MonitorTracks flaring volumes against R-32 authorizations, monitors the 180-day cumulative limit, and forecasts when you might exceed permitted thresholds.

Key Capabilities

Compliance Dashboard

A single view of your entire portfolio’s compliance status, organized as an entity-by-domain matrix. See at a glance which wells and leases need attention.

AI-Assisted Filing Preparation

The Rule 37 and Rule 32 agents walk you through the filing process step by step. They pull data from your knowledge graph, run calculations, and draft documents — but every filing goes through mandatory human review before submission.

Human-in-the-Loop Review

AEGIS never submits a filing without your approval. Every agent-generated filing package passes through a review checkpoint where you can approve, reject, or request changes.

Knowledge Graph

All your operational data — wells, leases, fields, operators, permits, and their relationships — is stored in a connected knowledge graph. This gives the AI agents rich context when preparing filings or running assessments.

Flaring Intelligence

Real-time tracking of flaring volumes, authorization utilization, and emissions calculations. Predictive alerts warn you before you approach permitted limits.

Who AEGIS Is For

AEGIS is designed for:

  • Compliance analysts who manage RRC filings and deadlines
  • Operations managers who need portfolio-wide visibility into compliance status
  • Regulatory teams who review and approve filings before submission
  • Field engineers who need to understand spacing requirements and flaring limits

AEGIS currently focuses on Texas Railroad Commission compliance. The platform covers Rule 37 (spacing), Rule 32 (flaring), Form PR (production reporting), and EPA emissions regulations (OOOOb/c, GHGRP Subpart W).
